Thoughts that matter

Time to begin instilling green thoughts in the very young. Start with a flower or a bright green leaf. Some homework: Encourage setting up of tiny green spots on a tray or a cup which could then expand to more and more 'greening' activities. Creating and caring for islands of green set amidst concrete edifices.

Out of the doldrums

The oranges are lying unattended. The Betel plant is crying out for water. The spinach is waiting to be plucked. The brooms are silent. The wasps are zooming around enjoying a free rein while building a home. The green space resonates with an eerie calm, seemingly devoid of that happy aura, when suddenly a new visitor arrives over the gate  saying... I've come here to savour a slice of green. Nature has a special something in its repertoire:- Winds of Change
