Sweep away the clouds

Image
The niggling headache is simply wrecking my sense of calm. Bright sunlight filtering in through the aircraft window propels me to down the shutter, when, all of a sudden, myriad blue beams from outside impinge on my eye. A tale unwinds... of blue and white. Who is the master? 'I  am,' says Blue weaving forth a duvet of azure, ultramarine, lapis tints, adding an artistic touch with some light blue, arctic blue, cobalt blue, deep blue and the 'in between' tints. 'You need us to amplify the effect,' insist the invisible, naughty angels, bringing with them those bundles of milky white, cotton candy and tubs of overflowing vanilla ice cream. The panoramic view before me looks different, etched with little islands of tempting melted, white delicacies, scattered in groups, merging and unmerging at intervals, even before I could finish counting them. As I down the shutters, the headache seems to have slowly faded away and

Take A Breather

Image
Amidst the noise and flashing lights from your television set, the artificial lighting all around you, the blinking lights and ring tones of those E devices and smart phones, strive to make way for some space on your cramped  table. Your 'digitally bombarded' creative brain and tired eyes require a periodic break with some green company. A certain broad wooden top and sturdy wooden legs, suddenly go all tingly... bygone memories of verdant green.

Creating an atmosphere

Soaking in... the serene thoughts of a great sage - Shakyamuni. Nearby...an aerial view springs a surprise. Pink n' green pocket islands, spread their cheery n' vibrant rays on the water around and to spaces beyond, ushering in a pervading sense of calm amidst ever-present irritants... pressures on all fronts, a sudden loss of equanimity as well as periods of tumult. The Cohesive Energy of ... the water, the flowers and the leaves enthuses both the decor and the mind.

An Echo: Green Diwali, Green Diwali...

Image
Your small green kingdom desires a Green Diwali but the neighbouring 'cracker loving' enthusiasts think different. Result: The stimulating fresh ambience conveyed through dainty buds,  tender leaves, and smiling blossoms is ruthlessly wrecked by the eddying 'chemical filled' pungent air currents that hang around, gaining a chokehold on proliferating green cells. An air of melancholy lingers at the sight of a pet cat, the usually active dog, as also the strays, literally jumping out of their skin, whining to get away from the high decibel noise of crackers, their glazed eyes betraying deathly fear and agitation. As they scamper away and you peer through the haze, the twirling 'Chakra' spinning fast near your wary feet, emitting threads of spluttering fire, the ever popular 'flower pot' rising high in fountain like fervour, its symmetrically arranged shower of sparks fanning out, the rows n' rows of  tiny bombs

Bonding with Heritage

Traditional craft stands out with an aura of its own, juxtaposed to small patches of green. Every nook and cranny of the artistically carved, hard edges are set off  by those uniquely diffused, soft green patterns, strategically positioned to pull together the eyeballs.

Wall decor

The choices have been made: 1. A gilt edged frame 2. A prime location where people gather to enjoy a hearty meal. The time has come to display something that keeps the air around us free  from carbon dioxide. We... the green species, are being honoured and it is a moment to cherish. The golden  glow enveloping me is growing stronger as people passing by are stopping to admire.
