Aahaa Chennai

It seemed as if... the air had turned balmy. Darkened sky on one side, shiny blue and white expanse appearing extra bright on the other. Patches of sunlight sprinkled over the soil went missing. Looking up... I wondered, who would reign? It seemed as if... but bunches of sparkling, sun drenched yellow heads bowing merrily, to the ruler of the skies, revealed the truth.

The yellow speck was visible on the green grassy carpet from mid morning. Curious eyes watched from a distance. Was it hurt? Why was it lying still? Would another one arrive? The hours ticked away. It was time to investigate. An endless line of smiles kept darting out as eyes gazed downwards. Oh! A dainty yellow blossom lay in repose drawing watchful eyes into dreaming of butterflies that dropped by not long ago.

Growing bigger by the day, under watchful eyes, that cannot help but glance often at the rich green hue and the delicious tangy  treats locked within, I am eagerly waiting for the day when I'll rest comfortably in a box of hay  for a  few weeks, waiting for those golden  tints to appear but this morning, I find that, my fate has turned out to be rather different. If you glance upwards, you can see a shell of scooped out yellow with the seed nestled inside, with the sun adding an extra golden tinge, the chorus of noisy squirrels nearby announcing their heartfelt satisfaction. A delicious seasonal offering - the 'just grab it' mango - writes a tale.

It all began one sunny morning... A noisy blitzkrieg. It drowned the soft melody of devotional refrains floating from the television set. It even drowned the familiar old world tunes from the radio set. Heads peeked out from the window. What was the drama about? The endless squeaking continued. Feet stepped out and returned with something, saved in the nick of time, from curious squirrels. The papaya tree swayed gently in the breeze, nodding its satisfaction.   while down below, sunlight made the emerging orange patches glow.
