Yellow n' green notes

Image
The right setting is indeed important. My two wheels need a bit of rest after a long ride. We do agree add a chorus of voices. 'That's right,' whisper another group clamouring for attention. #florafaunaspeak

Work of art

Image
Someone has just finished an awesome painting. You are invited to view the display. Could you please add a bit of my colour too? A flowery voice in the vicinity entreats.

Images from childhood

Image
I am standing here witnessing some exhilarating childhood moments... when a fidgety child... jumps up in joy and points out to the busy maternal figure nearby... Look! Yay! My plant is taller than yours.

Green n' pink notes

Image
When those dark tempestuous clouds gather, when the chirpy n' curious feathered visitors fall silent, when the pearly drops come dashing down pell-mell, thanks to an unseen hand driving 'em crazy, I tend to hide. When the sleepy sun arrives, sending out bits n' pieces of golden arrows, I unfurl my pink petals and bid passers by, condescending to glance at my green rug... a pleasant morning. #florafaunaspeak

In strange company

Image
Sometimes... I do end up with strange companions. The kind of company does vary and may  be a bit bizarre but life goes on.

Unselfishness

Image
I've become weak and am in dire need of a suitable kind of support. Been trying hard to find someone willing to assist me. A supportive frame would help me find my bearings, to move forward in the journey through the twisting lanes of life. Really delighted to find a couple of kindly souls on whom I can lean upon. I recall reading  somewhere... 'we are there for each other'.

Father's Day - Poignant Memories

Image
We are out celebrating 'Father's Day' but... where is dad? Recalling those fun, boisterous, bonding together... cherished moments. Practising those repeated 'dad taught me' and mum too, lessons in catching the choicest insects.

Testing times

Image
A survey around gives me the heebie jeebies. I am wondering... will I face the same 'ripping apart' some day? However, let me assure you, I am not one to step back or cower down in fright but ever willing to face the test. As they say... I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Small is beautiful

Image
I am sad cause the bigwigs, those tall, stately ones, who make you crane your neck upwards, are getting all the attention. Look this way, please. Someone wishes to say 'hello'. Popy is cheerily awaiting customers, looking splendid in a combination of black and red. Would you take a quick  peek over Popy's head...to down below? What do you see? A tiny sprig of green skulking behind, hoping for a reprieve, adding a touch of  freshness, amidst the artifice. There are those who do concur with the view... "Small is beautiful!"👍 #florafaunaspeak

A refreshing change

Image
Today I've flown up up to amazing heights, coz I've just heard from my flying pals of a wonderful place where I could get the juiciest stuff I ever dreamt of. Mmm! Tastes real good Watch me taking my fill. I see someone beckoning me from below, enquiring if I've forgotten them. I flap my wings, a signal to my two glowing budddies, that I am in need of a change and will be back soon to visit them, just like old times.

Contrasting cityscape

Image
Presenting two contrasting piles. Take your pick. One... A medley of items. You name it and you'll find it there. Another... A lush pile of pile of withered leaves, flaunting the colours of autumn, making you wish you could tread softly, enjoy the crunchy, gravelly sound, while keeping a lookout for curious creepy crawlies. A fluttery visitor is doing some serious thinking and  yet to decide.

A view to remember

Image
Perched high up, I'm enjoying a rather picturesque view... miles and miles of lush green slopes, stretching as far as the eye can see. There's  dual purpose to this gazing. I am also scouting for a suitable nesting spot. Ah! Here it is. I do think it's a perfect and cosy setting for my young ones when they arrive, with just the right amount of sunlight plus camouflage.

Finding that comfort zone

Image
After wandering around on tired legs, with my tongue feeling as if it's been scraped dry by a relentless sun, I am longing for a quiet place, where I can stretch in peace. I've located a fantastic spot, which makes me wish I could doze for hours and hours. A certain someone, the owner of a shrill voice, has located another unique spot which may very likely invite gatecrashers. Here's  a valid question... will I fit in?

Readying the treats

Image
Someone's been busy. There are signs of a feathered visitor or maybe a bushy tailed one. The grass is dotted with bits of bright hued designer pieces, nature's cast-offs. A look above reveals bursts of fiery orange and red amidst splashes of brilliant green. A closer look and a smile appears. Nature has been very busy readying the treats you love.

An empty cradle

Image
A 'never seen before' cradle is ready. Looks cosy and intriguing, set against a green background. A white, fluttery n' friendly, soft n' tickly toy is eager to cuddle the lil'one. Oh no! The baby is crying, refusing to sleep in the cradle. Whoa! A scary and fierce looking stranger lurks nearby.

Shedding loneliness

Image
I wish I had... the company of a bunch of true friends, sending across some cheerful vibes, helping me cross the stiles during my 'growing' years. Sometimes... wishes do come true. That lonely feeling has disappeared like magic in the midst of like-minded.

A destructive trend

Image
The view right before me... spiralling smoke with the greenery gone, signs of destruction stretching for miles, brings tears to my eyes. Stunned, I am unable to move. I wish I could shift elsewhere. My friend who is a busy tourist, has suggested what he calls... a place 'just right' and suited to my tastes. It looks perfect, mystical, magical, and untouched too but will it last?
