Mischief

Image
The wind has been unleashing its bag of tricks, carting us off, tossing...up and down, spinning unsuspecting victims into acrobatic moves. One upon the other, we are piled up and tucked away into patterned slots. On no! A little redhead cries out. I'll soon be buried under a rustly, copper tinted pillow. Look at me... says another yellow victim, ready any moment for a free fall. I wish somone would tether the wind, buzzes a strange voice, clinging on for dear life.

In fine fettle

Image
I have many many legs exclaims a certain someone, standing tall and proudly showing them off. 'How about ours?' enquire two small and delicate looking busybodies just out from their home, to bask in the sunlight.

Enjoying the quiet

Image
Resting for a while in the enchanting stillness buoyed by the bright splashes of green but never letting down guard. 'No worries,' since eyes that mimic golden berries are ever on the watch. The serene atmosphere with absolutely no sign of the wind is waiting to be savoured...until the first drops of rain, announce their arrival.

An Aha! Moment

Image
A great day outdoors with several visitors marking their attendance. Each  one showing off their skills, flitting here and there, vying for attention.

Nature's mood meter

Image
My eyes grow wide and wider... as a colourful spectacle unfolds before me. My wish has been granted. I was just thinking ... that patch of grey and green needed a splash of  contrasting hues. Looking up ... a while later, it's a different spectacle altogether. The  business of decoding Nature's changing moods: Call it - an ongoing process.

Knotty journeys

Image
I consider myself an expert in the art of twisting and turning, coiling and winding. I deem it as necessary and a unique and inevitable part of my long journey. It all amounts to... weathering  the travails that life throws upon us from time to time.

In search of space

Image
Oh dear! There seem to be restrictions in place, hampering the growth of me and my brethren. I am proud of my broadening girth but the hard wall pressing against me is bent on crushing my spirit.  Looking forward to times when this mindset will change. Someone who has just landed nearby seems to agree.

The making of a carpet

Image
I am in need of a soft carpet for a flawless landing. I've been keeping tabs on the  carpet-making process, which began in earnest, long ago. Step by step, I  see it coming up, the creation of the green patchwork, the intertwoven shapes,               the appearance of an attractive layout, looking as if designed just for me.

Dispelling the gloom

Image
With a jaunty nod at the rambunctious wind, the pearly and petite jasmine blossoms, crouch like dainty, wispy butterflies upon rich, green tapestry. These miniature masterpieces from Nature's 'Fresh Goods' store, spew forth multiple beams of divine radiance, which when combined with a dizzying fragrance, bring footsteps closer, a smile lighting up the peering face... when effervescent white candles, fashioned by Nature's  nimble fingers, sprinkle an overwhelmingly contagious n' whimsical sparkle, over carefully tended patches of green.

Deadwood

Image
Here I am, a portion of deadwood... a sombre reminder of happier times, but sometimes when I'm put in good hands, sculpted and polished, watch me transform myself into a piece of art, offering you tantalising glimpses of my 'yet-to-be-penned' green memoirs.

Taking risks

Image
Sometimes... it is necessary to take risks in un-idyllic situations. Later on... there's that feeling of immense satisfaction that I have boldly faced those perils and challenges.

Growing in numbers

Image
Hello! I'm your favourite Tulsi plant, looking a bit off colour. I think I am in need of extra special care and more attention. Look closer. The tiny fellas are growing in number. My neighbours are keeping their fingers crossed, hoping they'll be safe. Needed:  A vanquisher who will not harm me, my green friends, and my home, the Earth.

Grab a bite

Image
A lil' someone with an unending appetite is hungry and searching for bits of green. Oh no! A familiar shadow is visible. Hmm! Not so clever... still searching. Meanwhile... we, a green collective, are seeking a hidey hole.

A tradition lingers

Image
Grandma's taking a break stretching her tired feet, while pounding away at her pile of favourite betel nuts. We are enjoying this scene from close by and from the look of fierce concentration etched on grandma's face, grandma sure knows her business. We intend to 'share' this nostalgic scene, with our friend, the betel vine.

Curiosity

Image
My eyes can't believe this! Taken aback by something that's quite strange, and happening close by... Two familiar but differing hues sway side by side, beckoning me from the same plant! I've got to pass on this news to my fluttery friends nearby.

A resting nook

Image
A curious sight... it brings a smile to my face. Happy  that my dear friends are resting, safe and comfortable, after practising their act. Often, my golden friends flutter gaily, pirouetting, doing the twist. Faster, faster, urges the wind, as they make the moves. Tired, they seek calm repose in a nearby resting nook... until the wind calls them again.
